The study showed that Some benefits of immunization include; preventing illness, death and to make child grow healthy and strong. Also, the main reasons for each missed immunization dose were drug issues (unavailability), bad road/transport issues, baby or mother not healthy and busy schedule.Despite the fact that childhood vaccinations are available free of cost and with growing awareness, the childhood immunization rate in Nigeria is not yet satisfactory. The study recommended that there is need for educational empowerment of mothers since it has been identified as a predictor of complete immunization uptake.
